The Technology Summit is a university wide event aiming to reach out to the Lasallian community and inform them of the rapidly changing technology trends. An exhibit is best for this purpose since it is in an open area and the companies participating in it will have their devices set up in a way that participants would be able to interact with the available devices and see for themselves the latest innovations from some of the industry’s best.
The Technology Summit is composed of different events over a week.
A technology exhibit is a showcase of the latest and most innovative technologies and services. Such exhibit aims to inspire people by bringing context to innovation in collaboration with emerging technologies. It also allows participants to endorse their products by having people see, know, and experience their products firsthand.
A lightning talk is a short presentation that is meant to be concise and efficient. Usually lasting to five minutes, a lightning talk does not go very deep, so it focuses on conveying only the key information. It does not aim to provide every little detail, as its goal lies in allowing the audience their selves to explore many exciting ideas inspired by the presentation topic.
A keynote speaker is one who is able to capture the essence of the meeting through its comprehensive understanding of the topic and its audience. It sets the tone for the whole conference by moving people into action through its thoroughly relayed messages. Overall, it is the speaker’s job to imbibe the program’s key note message to the audience.
We'll be inviting industry speakers for the last day! Stay tune as we'll reveal them one by one.
